Technomedioevo – Age of Future Reloaded

What would the past have been like in the Middle Ages if the future had happened before? Modifying this famous slogan of the modern era we can get to the true meaning of this exhibition. New contemporary artistic trends introduce technology, mechanical and futuristic experiments in ancient historical settings loaded with symbolism and innovations, creating virtual realities coexisting in the time line. The aim of this exhibition is to propose the new medieval imagination through alternative history and pseudo real worlds, new iconography, and historical re-enactments. Numerous movements in our century have created real thoughts, turned into styles through music, art and fashion.

Come sarebbe stato il passato durante il Medioevo se il futuro avesse avuto già luogo precedentemente? Modificando questo famoso slogan dell’era moderna possiamo arrivare al vero significato di questa mostra. Le nuove tendenze artistiche contemporanee hanno introdotto tematiche come la tecnologia, gli esperimenti meccanici e futuristici in antichi contesti storici carichi di simbolismo e innovazioni, creando così realtà virtuali che coesistono nella sequenza temporale. Lo scopo di questa mostra è di proporre una nuova immaginazione medievale attraverso una storia alternativa, mondi pseudo-reali, una nuova iconografia e rievocazioni storiche.
